She graduated with a BA (Hons) in Japanese Studies and Film and Media Studies from Stirling University and obtained a Masters degree in Industrial Relations & Personnel Management from Warwick Business School.

Wiebke previously worked for the Official Monetary and Financial Institutions Forum, an organisation set up to bring together the public and the private sector in the international world of finance. Prior to that Wiebke spent over three years as Assistant Manager at London & Oxford Capital Markets plc, a City of London-based financial group with a strong focus on cross-border business, particularly with Germany. During that time she took care of four annual conferences of the German-British Forum. Her core responsibilities in both posts were conference management, but she was also in charge of maintaining and developing the website of the German-British Forum.
